Known issues and their solutions

App cannot connect to senseBox
  • Ensure the senseBox:bike is powered on and fully charged.
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the app has permission to use it.

If you still cannot connect to the box and you have an iPhone, please take the following steps:

  • Install nRF Connect.
  • Open nRF Connect, find the senseBox, connect to it, then disconnect.

You should then be able to see the box in the senseBox:bike app again.

Not all sensor data is being recorded (there are gaps in the data)
  • Make sure battery saver mode is disabled on your phone.
  • Ensure only the senseBox:bike is connected to your phone via Bluetooth.
  • Start recording, take a short ride, and then stop.
  • Check that you have the same number of data points for all sensors (e.g. speed and temperature).
Details

  • Restart the app and check that real-time sensor data is being displayed.
  • Ensure your internet connection is stable and the senseBox:bike is close to your phone.
  • Disable battery saver mode on your phone.
  • Make sure you're logged into your openSenseMap account in the app and a senseBox is selected.
  • Start recording and move a few meters.
  • Log in to openSenseMap and check that the new data shows up in your account.
